Jubilation!!

For the last 19 years he has waited.

Captive in the land of the Sooners.

Last night he was vindicated.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

DadUnscripted is on cloud nine.

We went on a date to watch the game.

I didn’t have my camera last night to capture the Mr’s excitement. But he was hooping it up.

Not quite like he used to….

We drove straight through from Illinois to Oklahoma, stopping once for drinks and once for gas and a bathroom break. 9 hours of non-stop Christmas carols, big trucks going too fast, intermittent rain and peanut brittle within reach….we’re finally here.

I meant to share these before I left, and since I have nothing coherent to contribute I’ll do it now. Remember that cute little, teeny, tiny, sweet kitty we rescued in October? Here she was with Wilbur, her new mom.

Here she is now, with her 2nd favorite new toy. When she’s not scaling the Christmas tree, she is pestering Max. Or tearing up presents. Or climbing the furniture. Or….she is a mess!

Show & Tell

Bitty kitty, Sophie, has been part of our family for a week now. She is eating well and has essentially taken over the house. Quite vocal, she YELLS for her breakfast, lunch, dinner and she’s an in-between-meal piglet. She has a nice bed, but prefers snuggling under chins in big people beds.While I check my mail, she’ll climb up in the recliner and nestle behind my neck for her nap. Here is the picture album of Sophie, Max and Wilbur.

Also, today is our son’s 11th birthday. He’s counting down the days to when he can buy his own car. We’ve agreed to match his funds for his first ride. If the present trend continues, we’ll need to come up with about $3.50.
